Art. 6 Use of Social Media Plug-ins

(1) At present, we use the social media plug-in of Facebook: In this context, we make use of the so-called two-click solution. This means that upon visiting our website we will, as a rule, initially refrain from transmitting any personal data to the plug-in providers. You may identify the plug-in provider via the marking on the box above its initials or the logo. We grant you the possibility to communicate with the plug-in provider directly via the button. Only if you click the marked area and, thereby, activate it, the plug-in provider will receive the information that you have called up the respective website of our online offering. Moreover, the data mentioned in clause 3 of this Statement will be transferred. Facebook will – according to its own statements – anonymise the IP address in Germany immediately after its collection. Thus, your personal data will be transmitted to the respective plug-in provider upon activation of the plug-ins and stored there (with Facebook in the U.S.A.). Since the plug-in provider collects data particularly via cookies, you are recommended to delete all cookies prior to clicking the greyed out box via the security settings of your browser.

(2) We are not able to influence the collection and processing of data and have no knowledge about the entire scope of data collection, of processing purposes and retention periods. Likewise, we do not have any information on the deletion of data collected via the plug-in provider.

(3) The plug-in provider will store the data collected with respect to your person as user profiles and use such data for advertising purposes, market research and/or a customised design of its website. This assessment will particularly be made (also for users not logged-in) in order to offer customised advertising services and in order to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You will be entitled to file objection against the creation of such user profiles; to do so, you have to contact the respective plug-in provider. Via the plug-ins, we offer you the possibility to interact with the social networks and other users so that we can improve our offering and design it in a more interesting manner for you as user. The use of plug-ins is based on Art. 6 paragraph 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

(4) The forwarding of data will be made irrespective of whether you have an account with the plug-in provider and are logged-in there. If you are logged-in with the plug-in provider, the data collected by us will directly be allocated to the account held by you with the plug-in provider. If you click the activated button and, for instance, link the site, the plug-in provider will also store this information in your user account and publicly disclose it to your contacts. We recommend you to regularly log-out after every use of a social network, especially prior to activating the button because you will then be able to prevent an allocation to your profile with the plug-in provider.

(5) Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by the plug-in provider will be available in the privacy statements of such providers, as indicated below. There, you will also be informed on your corresponding rights and setting possibilities in order to protect your privacy.

(6) The address of the plug-in provider and the URL with its data protection information is:

Facebook Inc., 1601 S California Ave, Palo Alto, California 94304, USA;; additional information on data collection:, as well as Facebook subjected itself to the EU-US-Privacy-Shield,
